This policy explains what personal data RankTube collects, why, who it is shared with and how you can control it.
1. Who is responsible
Axel Schapmann, Entrepreneur individuel (micro-entreprise) (SIRET 907 850 150 00018), publishes RankTube and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: axel.schapmann@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Projects: the website URL, company description, competitors, YouTube channels and questions you add or confirm.
- Results: the AI answers, citations, videos and recommendations we produce for your projects.
- Billing: your plan, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe only, we never see them.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and request logs kept by our host for security and debugging.
3. Public data we analyze
To build your reports we read public content: pages of the websites you enter, YouTube channels and videos, public video comments, search results and AI answers. We use it to compute recommendations for your project and do not build profiles of the people who wrote it.
4. Why we use it
- Providing the service (account, analyses, reports, weekly runs): performance of our contract with you.
- Payments and invoices: performance of the contract and our legal accounting obligations.
- Security, abuse prevention and fixing bugs: our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
- Service emails such as login codes: performance of the contract. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
5. Who processes it
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers below, which process it on our behalf to run the service.

6. International transfers
Some providers are located outside the European Union. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework when the provider is certified, on the European Commission adequacy decision for the United Kingdom, or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. How long we keep it
- Account and projects: as long as your account is open. They are deleted within 30 days after you ask us to close it.
- Login codes: 10 minutes, and they are deleted once used.
- Invoices and payment records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law.
- Server logs: a few weeks at most, depending on our host.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its processing, and give instructions about what happens to it after your death. Write to axel.schapmann@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.
If you think your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
10. Security
Data travels over HTTPS and is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to run and support the service.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email you about important changes.
